Biography

Early Life

Joey Baines was born on August 28, 1954, to Sam and Stella Baines, and was the youngest child in the Baines family. In the early 1970s, Joey was Marty McFly'southward favorite uncle. Joey would allow Marty to do dangerous things, but would always be there to brand sure he was all right.

First Arrest

However, on June 24, 1972, Joey wanted to join Biff's gang. Biff wanted to interruption into the home of Sarah Ellsworth, Emmett Brown'south mother. Biff assumed that Medico hid the fortune he inherited from his father, and he believed that the burn down that burned downward Doc's mansion was acquired by Doc himself for the insurance money. Wondering why Medico would need money, he thought that Doc must accept given his inheritance to his mother. When she moved dorsum to Hill Valley, Biff decided to use Joey as a patsy.

He sent Joey, alone, to get the money. Notwithstanding, Joey was caught and was arrested for stealing $85,000 from Mrs. Ellsworth'southward house. Marty bragged virtually his uncle'due south arrest to his kindergarten grade, but he later would forget near the skilful times he had his uncle Joey, and would come to distrust him due to his criminal past.

  • An early script of Dorsum to the Futurity Part II showed that Joey, in his early teens in 1967, enjoyed locking himself in his room and eating goose egg only bread and h2o. In the aforementioned script, in 2015, when Dave and Linda are taking Marty (whom they mistook for Marty Jr.) to Loma Valley Memorial Hospital where Lorraine is giving a dedication spoken communication. Dave mentions that Joey had yet again failed to make parole.[iii] [4] [v]
  • In the Dorsum to the Future novelization by George Gipe, Joey is non i year onetime in 1955 merely eleven months (page 105).
  • In a deleted scene from Dorsum to the Future Part II, which was reinstated for the novelization (see third Quote above), Marty of 2022 says to Lorraine, who is planning to throw a party for Joey: "Mom, let'southward wait and run into if Uncle Joey makes parole."
